Water, Sewer, and Holding-Tank Supplies

Fresh-water protection, filtration, sewer handling, sanitation, and tank products that prevent common campground pain.

Where this gear earns its space

Fresh-water and sewer systems need physically separate storage. Color-coded bins, caps, and gloves are simple but important.

Pressure regulators protect fittings when campground pressure is high or inconsistent. Inline filters improve taste and sediment control, but they do not make every source safe.

Holding-tank gear should make it easy to dump slowly, rinse correctly, and avoid leaving odors or leaks in storage compartments.

Failure points to plan around

  • Never use the same hose for black-tank flushing and drinking water.
  • Tank treatments do not fix poor dumping habits or blocked vents.
  • Some campgrounds require sewer hose supports or sealed connections.

Match the kit to the vehicle, season, and region

Do not let the calendar make the decision for you. Extreme heat can happen in parts of the desert Southwest, south Texas, Florida, and lower-elevation public lands during winter travel, while high mountains, northern forests, exposed desert basins, and coastal storm zones can turn cold or windy during the height of summer.

Match gear to the actual overnight low, daytime heat index, wind exposure, shade, water availability, road surface, wildfire or smoke risk, and the vehicle you brought. A motorhome, travel trailer, truck camper, car camp, and tent site can all face the same weather system differently.
