The Blue Ridge Parkway was designed as a park-to-park experience connecting Shenandoah National Park with Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Its overlooks and preserved viewsheds make the drive a destination in itself.

Tunnel clearances vary, services on the parkway are limited, and closures can occur for weather or repairs. Check NPS alerts and measure travel in hours, not just miles.
